E! News issues apology to Hunger Games fans

E! News had teased that they would have new #CatchingFire footage on their broadcast Tuesday night. However, when fans tuned in to catch a glimpse, they were met with a replay of the Lionsgate issued thank you video that released over the weekend thanking fans for getting the Facebook page to 10 million likes. Also included were brief snippets from the previously released Catching Fire trailer.

Fans were outraged and once again took to social media to express their anger.

E! News then took to social media themselves to apologize for the incident:

Where as most fans find that the apology isn’t good enough and is still expressing their disgust for E! News’ blatant lying, others feel that the apology should be enough? Are some fans making too big of a deal out of this? Where do you weigh in on the topic?
