E! News had teased that they would have new #CatchingFire footage on their broadcast Tuesday night. However, when fans tuned in to catch a glimpse, they were met with a replay of the Lionsgate issued thank you video that released over the weekend thanking fans for getting the Facebook page to 10 million likes. Also included were brief snippets from the previously released Catching Fire trailer.
Fans were outraged and once again took to social media to express their anger.
E! News then took to social media themselves to apologize for the incident:
