‘SDCC’ Open Registration Begins Saturday!

The time is finally upon us! The open registration for San Diego Comic-Con 2014 is officially here!

The site will open at 7 am for people to begin checking in with their registration codes. The sale will have it’s official start at 9 am!

Please click the link…to log in to the EPIC waiting room anytime between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM (PT). Although there is no advantage in arriving to the waiting room early, we suggest that you log in at least 5 to 10 minutes before 9:00 AM (PT). Remember, there is no need to rush to the landing page at 7:00 AM! Eligible attendees will have two full hours to enter their registration codes and access the waiting room.

Remember, you must have your personal registration code above to access the waiting room. Your registration code can also be found by logging in to your Member ID account and selecting the “Registration Info” tab.

The pre-registration for con goers from last year occurred last month. There were minor problems with the system but overall it seemed to hold up well against the traffic.

Good luck to all those participating on Saturday! May the odds be ever in your favor!

‘Divergent’

As many of you know, I attended the premiere of ‘Divergent’ in Tempe, Arizona yesterday.

As of right now, I cannot upload a full review of the film. I will wait to do so after the film officially releases in theaters!

I will say the following. I know that most people are giving the film rave reviews, 2 thumbs up, five stars & all that jazz. I re-read the book the night prior to the premiere to refresh myself on the story.

The film was good, but I was not amazed. There are changes to the film from the book that I was disappointed to see. For a film with a run time of 143 minutes, I definitely thought they could have done more with it.

‘Divergent’ was a good movie, but it definitely could have been better.

(I know I will probably get backlash for this, but I want to be honest about my opinion on the film.)

Be sure to return to my blog as of March 21st for the official review of the film.

My vlog review will go up shortly there after at The Nerd Element’s Youtube page.

‘Divergent’ Promotional Tour

As I’m sure most Divergent fans know by now, some of the cast is going on a tour this week bringing advanced screenings to select cities. Each stop will have two cast members appearing.

The tour stops in Phoenix on Wednesday & brings Miles Teller, who plays Peter, & Jai Courtney, who plays Eric!

I was lucky enough to get passes for the screening! Granted, they’re still first come first serve tickets, but still exciting!

If all works out, I will be at the screening Wednesday night & officially get to meet Miles & Jai!

They will also be giving out Divergent promotional items!

Hopefully I’ll be able to come back with a great vlog & article for all of you!

Stay tuned for updates as the week progresses!
